Frog List 2023


One day my neighbor was showing a list of meditation ideas they want to start doing in 2022.  We laughed how all ideas start out on a piece of paper or in a list in some way, but usually the greatest thoughts do not go much farther then the brainstorm.  While at that time the list was called "Get Over It, Go,"  I couldn't remember that name too well in the many days following that conversation.  But what I did remember was the first item on the list of "draw a frog," which is now the new name for my meditation list.  I hope you enjoy relaxing with us.

Some ideas may be work related in nature, but many times the end result is internal peace in some way.

  • Draw a frog
  • Paint something, anything
  • Acquire and plant a Chia-Pet
  • Light a cool special candle that's different then others
  • Find a peaceful spot somewhere outside (anywhere you can have a bit of quiet and space like a park or on a walk), observe nature and find something breath taking to photograph on your phone.  Think of another time you were calm and happy with a similar memory or vacation.
  • Fully organize 1 room or space per month, starting with the most peaceful are for you.
  • Create a living and changing garden in a small yard space dedicated to those memories and people closest in your life.
    • I would not recommend this idea to a person who is bad about watering plants, however.  It would be sad to dedicate plants to things you love, just to let them dry out.  :-(   But on the flip-side, if the garden flourishes, it would be amazing to see life continue to live on and on.
  • Download new wallpapers and retire old ones you don't like anymore
  • Plan an overnight spontaneous weekend for hiking, pick-nic, listening to live music somewhere
  • Camp more often - Take pictures of the spontaneous times
  • Sage your home and add some type of new décor for a stale room
  • ??? Let your mind be endless.
